Dark or Light Sunscreen - as displayed in our showroom.

Updated: Jul 26, 2019

This is the biggest decision you will make about your sunscreen:

The dark colour sunscreen:

  • It allows you to see clearly out of the window

  • It looks more like a tint to your window from the outside looking in.

  • It attracts the radiant heat (if the sun hits the window), which will contribute to the heating of your room. Great in Hobart Winters but not so great in Hobart Summers.

  • It can make your room look smaller.

  • It will protect your furniture from the harsh Hobart UV.

The light colour sunscreen:

  • It can glare the room if direct sunlight is on it.

  • It can look like your blinds are down all the time from the outside looking in.

  • It won't contribute to heating your room.

  • It won't make your room look as small like the dark colour.

  • It will protect your furniture from the harsh Hobart UV.

To discuss this further please come into the showroom at 499 Main Road, Glenorchy to look first hand how this will effect your home
